Maurice Lacroix, a forty-year-old brand, is showing no sign of calming down with the passing of time – just the opposite. The company has developed 14 calibres in-house since it was founded in 1975. All produced at their factory in Saignelégier, a municipality in Franches-Montagnes, in the heart of the Swiss Jura mountains. At the heart of this fake modern tableau emerge the black – of course! – dauphine-shape hands which display the hours and the minutes. Unobtrusive in daylight, they become blue in low light thanks to the special luminescent material with which they are coated. A varnished seconds hand completes this trio, and the date is shown at the 3 o’clock position, in a display with a sculpted frame.
